Richard Seibert was born in Martinez California in 1957, and has lived in the Bay Area all of his life.

After studying classics & literature, he cooked at Café Chez Panisse for 15 years.

David Lance Goines taught him how to print in 1993. He then worked with Peter Rutledge Koch for 10 years.

He returned to Saint Hieronymus Press in the summer of 2005.
